Our vision for Maverick Search Group is to create a company with a reputation of unwavering trust from our clients and to attract the best candidates through shared experience and proven results.

A bit of history, over 14 years ago we (Susan Retter and David Davis) started our business relationship as Area Vice Presidents for a large national staffing company. We partnered to work with business owners to drive sales, increase productivity and profitability. During that time it was apparent our view of business and life had many similarities; including a passion to deliver results in an open-minded, creative and adventurous way layered with a strong sense of humor.

Eventually we pursued separate careers with other large staffing organizations, but never lost our shared vision, passion for the industry or our friendship. Over the last several years we discussed the possibility of working together again but the timing was never right. A number of things changed and the decision was made to open our own search firm with the belief we could fill a niche not being satisfied adequately today.

Susan Retter is a professional staffing industry leader with a 20+ year outlook in the industry. Her career encompasses recruiting and client development, multi-branch and specialty management, consulting, staff training, and branch/franchise relations.

As an ‘Army Brat’, she understands the importance of moral values, hard work, sacrifice and most importantly, keeping commitments.

David Davis CPC, CTS
David Davis is a professional staffing industry leader with a 20+ year experience in both direct hire and contract staffing. Primary focus is direct hire with previous responsibilities for building and directing national practices for some of the industry’s leading companies.

He is a dedicated family man that places high value on staying focused and committed. He has a deep understanding and desire to deliver value and benefited when promised
